Cylinder Oils
Athen Marine Cylinder Oils are the series of superior, high-alkaline, diesel engine oils, formulated from high quality base stocks and selected additives to provide optimum oxidation resistance at high temperatures and protection against ring and liner wear. It also provides high level of detergency, piston cleanliness, alkalinity retention and load-carrying ability. Our Cylinder oil series meets latest generation large MAN ES Category II marine diesel engines operating with a range of low to zero Sulphur fuels including VLSFO, ULSFO, LNG and methanol.
System Oils
Athen Marine System Oils are a high quality marine system oil, formulated from high quality solvent –refined paraffin base oils and premium quality additive package. It has been developed specifically for use as system oil in modern high-output cross-head type marine diesel engines and large bore two-stroke slow speed engines. It provides adequate lubrication for bearings and other moving parts, including cams and gears, plus effective cooling of pistons in cross-head engines even in the presence of saline water
Trunk Piston Engine Oils
Athen Marine Trunk Piston Engine Oil series of high performance diesel engine oils formulated with high quality base oils and advanced additives that provide balanced alkalinity and detergency/dispersancy even for engines burning high aromatic/asphaltenes content and high sulfur residual fuels. It also provides outstanding residual fuel compatibility characteristics for excellent engine cleanliness, especially in crankshaft area, ring belt and piston under crowns. It provides excellent high temperature oxidation and thermal stability, low volatility, high load carrying properties and corrosion protection.
Trunk Piston Engine Oils (MDO)
Trunk piston engine oil for medium speed diesel engines operating on distillate fuel, Very Low Sulphur Fuel (VLSFO) <0.5% Sulphur Content and Ultra Low Sulphur Fuel (ULSFO) <0.1% Sulphur Content. Lubricants are blended with highly refined base oils and carefully selected additives. They have very good viscosity control when used in severe high-temperature service, and their great BN retention characteristics prevent corrosive wear over long periods of operation. The unique detergent and dispersant additive system provides piston cleanliness and soot handling.
Hydraulic Oil Series
Our wide range of Athen Marine Hydraulic Oil Series lubricants are formulated to meet the demands of today’s high-pressure hydraulic systems and environmentally acceptable lubricants and is engineered to deliver optimal performance. Readily biodegradable, minimally toxic and non-bio accumulative, these lubricants can be used in hydraulic systems where spills or leakage could result in adverse environmental impact. These zinc-free hydraulic fluids provide advanced antiwar protection and help keep hydraulic systems cleaner, minimizing system deposits. These hydraulic oils offer extended oil drain intervals and cut hydraulic oil costs and waste.
Gear Oil Series
Athen Marine Gear Oils are used in a wide range of marine applications, especially main propulsion, centrifuges, and deck machinery such as winches, windlasses, cranes, turning gears, pumps, elevators and rudder carriers. Series advanced technology lubricants are designed to protect gears, bearings and seals in all types of enclosed-gear drives with circulation or splash lubrication systems.
Turbine Oil Series
The Athen Marine Turbine Oil series is a turbine oil developed for gas, steam, and expansion turbines and turbo compressors with and without gearboxes based on the latest lubrication technology. The excellent properties of the base oils produced in a special process are enhanced using a carefully selected additive system. These oils contain no organometallic compounds and are, therefore, ash-less. They provide zinc-free wear protection.
Thermal Fluid(Heat Transfer Fluid)

Compressor Oil Series
The Athen Marine Compressor Oil series are high-performance ash less air compressor oils specially designed to meet the stringent requirements of major compressor manufacturers. This range of compressor lubricants is based on highly refined mineral oils and carefully chosen additives. They are intended for the lubrication of both reciprocating and rotary air compressors.
Refrigeration Compressor Oil Series
The Athen Marine REF-N Compressor Oil series are high performance naphthenic refrigeration compressor oils specially designed to meet the stringent requirements of major refrigeration compressor manufacturers. These oils are formulated with severely hydro-treated naphthenic base oils to provide excellent protection against oxidation degradation, rust & corrosion and foaming & entrained air. These oils are specifically designed for refrigeration systems using non-hydrofluorocarbon refrigerants such as R-11, R-12, R-13B1 R-22, R-113, R500, R-501, R-502, R-717 (Ammonia – NH3), etc. These oils exceed the performance requirements of DIN 51503 KAA, KC and KE.
Synthetic Compressor Oil Series
Athen Marine Synth Compressor Oil series are advanced, fully synthetic air compressor lubricants developed for use in rotary compressors of screw or vane design, reciprocating compressors, and centrifugal compressors. The synthetic polyalphaolefin (PAO) base fluids, in combination with advanced additive technology, provide effective lubrication of equipment working in extreme temperatures and severe operating conditions
Polyol Ester Ref Compressor Series
Athen Marine PE Cool Oil Series are high performance fully synthetic lubricants specifically designed for the lubrication of refrigeration compressors and systems using ozone-friendly synthetic HFC refrigerants as well as recently developed HFO refrigerants and HFO/HFC blends with lower Global Warming Potential than HFC’s, including A1 and A2L refrigerants as per ASHRAE 34/ISO 817 safety classification. These series are recommended for use in HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning) and commercial and Industrial Refrigeration
Di-Ester Compressor Series
Athen Marine DE Compressor Oil series is marine Synthetic Air Compressor Oil with synthetic ester-based fluid specially formulated for reciprocating air compressors, heavy-duty turbochargers, and vacuum pumps in extremely high-temperature conditions and anti-corrosive properties. In reciprocating units, these grades have up to eight times the service life of mineral oils. Operating temperature up to 230°C.These oils are meets the specifications of DIN 51506 – VDL 100
Synthetic Gear Oil Series
The Athen Marine Synth Gear Oil series are polyalphaolefin (PAO) based, synthetic high-performance lubricants formulated with specially selected additives to offer a range of fluids for use in both gear and bearing applications. The range has been designed to offer specific performance benefits over its conventional mineral oil and synthetic fluid counterparts. Advanced lubricant properties such as viscosity characteristics, low pour point and good air and water separation capabilities
Grease
Athen Marine CS Grease is a high-performance, multipurpose calcium sulfonate complex grease designed for a variety of marine, industrial, and automotive applications. Formulated with high-quality solvent-refined base oils and advanced additives, it offers excellent structural stability, water washout resistance, and superior protection against wear and corrosion.
